Roger Rasmussen, age 83, of Wykoff, Minnesota, died on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Gundersen Harmony Care Center in Harmony, Minnesota.
Roger Keith Rasmussen was born on April 28, 1943, in Otranto, Iowa, to Alvin and Edith (Klusmeier) Rasmussen. Roger graduated from Grand Meadow High School in 1961. He worked for Bicknese Elevator in Wykoff for 42 years, then he worked for Shopko for a short time. On June 6, 1990, Roger married Alice King. Roger was blessed with three sons: Ronald, Duane and Larry. Since he had all boys, he joked about wanting girl granddaughters, and he sure got them!
In his spare time, Roger enjoyed going shopping, visiting the casino, mowing his lawn, eating at Pizza Ranch and watching the Minnesota Twins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-grandchild.
He is survived by his wife Alice, his sons Ronald (Beth) Rasmussen of Chatfield, Minnesota, Duane (Jackie) Rasmussen of Wykoff, Minnesota, and Larry (Christina) Rasmussen of Stewartville, Minnesota; step-children Pamela (Mark) Salverda of Forest Lake, Minnesota, Dawn (Mark) Thompson of Spring Valley, Minnesota, and Alan (Michelle) Andersen of Wykoff, Minnesota; grandchildren Camille Rasmussen, Kayla Rasmussen, Sara (Riley) Meyer, Lauren ( Bryan) Rasmussen, and Kirsten Rasmussen; six step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren, and sister Donna Hall of Kasson, Minnesota.
The family would like to thank Harmony Place, Gundersen Harmony Care Center, and St. Croix Hospice.
A celebration of life for Roger will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the Wykoff Community Center. A private burial will take place at Grand Meadow Cemetery.
