Lewiston-Altura’s Kaylee Hansen goes tumbling as teammate A.J. Barkeim watches the ball go into center field, giving Caledonia’s Ashlyn Reinhart a stolen base. The #3 in AA Warriors took two from L-A to improve to 10-0 in the TRC, 14-1 on the year.

Up to #3 in the Class AA polls, Caledonia softball downed three opponents on the week without yielding a run.  Hosting W-K, Avery Augedahl struck out 15 in a three-hit shutout (7 IP, 1 BB), a 6-0 win. Augedahl (2-4, 2B, RBI) was one of four Warriors with two hits.  Going 2-for-3 were Vivian Kittleson (HR, 2 RBI, R), who had the longest shot, Lily Augedahl (R), and Nora Staggemeyer (RBI).  Paisley Lange (1-3) added an RBI and a run scored.   Hosting L-A for a doubleheader, both teams battled into the wind.  In game one, Caledonia led just 2-0 before a four-run sixth inning enabled a 6-0 win. L-A had just two hits, as Augedahl (7 IP, 0 R, 2 BB, 14 K; 2-3, R) pitched her fourth shutout.  She has six times held the opposing team to one run.  Ashlyn Reinhart (2-2, 2B, 2 RBI, R), Elsa Blum (2-3, RBI, 2 R), Staggemeyer (1-3, RBI, R), and P-Lange (1-3, R) were the best offense. Game two fell much easier, 13-0.  A-Augedahl (4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K; 1-3 R) collected the win to improve to 14-1, combining with Ayla Lange (3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K) on the shutout.  Reinhart (2-3, 2B, R) continued her excellent day by driving in four runs.  Blum (2-2, two 2B, 2 RBI, 3 R), L-Augedahl (2-4, RBI, R), P-Lange (2-4, R), Adrienne Lange (1-2, RBI), Staggemeyer 0-2, 2 RBI, R), and Lauren Goetzinger (0-2, RBI, 2 R) also contributed.  Caledonia (10-0 TRC, 14-1 overall) leads the TRC-East over Cotter/HL (7-4, 7-5).  In 11 of 14 games, Cal foes have scored zero or one run.
