The Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Preston will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. to consider a variance request submitted by Debbie Thompson.
Ms. Thompson, owner of the property located at 112 Fillmore Street East, is proposing the construction of a covered deck attached to the rear of the primary structure. City code requires a side yard setback of 10 feet and limits total lot coverage to 35%. The applicant is requesting approval of a side yard setback of 2.5 feet and an increase in total lot coverage to 37%.
The public hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
