Winneshiek County Deputies responded to a motorcycle accident that occurred on the evening of June 11 on County Road A14. The driver, Wyatt Rex Tibbals, 21, of Cresco, Iowa, was traveling at a high rate of speed on a motorcycle and struck pedestrian, Finn Lee Ronken, 22, of Canton, Minn., who was in the roadway. As a result, both were fatally injured. This accident remains under investigation with additional details pending.
The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Howard County Sheriff’s Office, Cresco Police Department, Howard County Ambulance and Winneshiek (WinnMed) Ambulance/Medical Examiner.
