David Tuohy obituary, Fillmore County Journal

David L. Tuohy, age 80, of Maple Lake, died Monday, October 31, 2022, at his home on Sugar Lake.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2022, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale, with Fr. Kevin Magner as the celebrant. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m. on Friday at the church. Burial will take place at a later date in Willow River.

David Lawrence Tuohy was born June 17, 1942, in Rochester to William and Kathryn (Keefe) Tuohy. He grew up in Chatfield, graduating with the Class of 1960 from Chatfield High School. Dave served his country in the U.S. Army. On August 1, 1970, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Tomascak at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Crystal. They lived a short time in Minneapolis, before moving to Sugar Lake. Dave worked as a pipefitter welder. He was initiated in 1967 with the Pipefitters Local 539, where he was a lifetime member. Dave was a devoted father and grandfather. He had an unique ability to make meaningful connections with acquaintances and strangers alike. His kindness, witty humor, and friendship to many will be dearly missed.

Dave is survived by his children Angela (Garrett) Jordahl of Big Lake, Carolyn Tuohy (fiance Karl Adalbert.) of Minneapolis, Jeanette (Brad) Marr of Minneapolis, and Daniel Tuohy of Bloomington; grandchildren Max and Stella Jordahl and Thaddeus Marr; sister Elizabeth Prater, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters Joan, Sharon, Rita and Ann; and brothers Vincent and William.

Garrett, Max, and Stella Jordahl, Brad and Thaddeus Marr, Daniel Tuohy, Karl Adlabert, and Scott Tuohy will serve as casket bearers. The St. Ignatius Music Ministry will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial  Cremation Services of Annandale.
