Thomas Gossman

November 2, 2022 by Fillmore County Journal

Thomas Gossman obituary, Fillmore County Journal

We are sad to announce the passing of our father Thomas “Tommy” Brian Gossman, of Indianapolis, Ind. He passed Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the age of 74 in the veteran’s hospital ,due to complications from recent surgery. Dad was born on February 27, 1948, in Bend, Oreg. He was proud of being a Marine and proud of his time spent serving his country. Thomas spent most of his life working on cars. He drove a semi for many years, which allowed him to enjoy his love of driving and seeing the country. In his later years his passion in life was fishing and the food network. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.

Thomas is survived by his wife Brenda; daughters Shanandoah (Ambrose) McRedmond, Shane (Jeff) Thomas and Michelle (Paul) Kotlarz; stepchildren Laura (Jeremy) Giddings and Joe Wyand III, grandchildren Brian, Felisha, Luke, Christopher, Tiffani, Heather, Garin, Bradley, Nicole, Samantha Matthew, Madison, Kaitlyn and Aiden; and great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Hannah, Noah, Braxton, Connor, Colton, and Kaiden. He is also survived by his mother Opal, siblings Debra (David), Janice (Mike), Randy, Bob (Sheila), Connie (Mike), and Kristi (Dan); and many nephews and nieces.

Tom is preceded by his father Howard, daughter Shelly, and siblings Kerry, Peter and Darcy.

We would love you to come and celebrate his life with us. There will be a short 20-minute ceremony at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, 715 US 52, Preston, Minn., on November 18 at 11: am. A Celebration of Life will follow at the American Legion at 217 St. Paul St., Preston, Mn.  However, there will be no viewing prior to service.
