Spring Valley Area Community Foundation hosts Drive-thru Fundraiser

November 2, 2020 by Fillmore County Journal

The Spring Valley Area Community Foundation will be hosting a Drive-thru Fundraiser for Give to the Max Day. This is a great opportunity for people to show support for their community. The Drive-thru will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020, in the parking lot of Sunshine Foods in Spring Valley from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Monetary gifts will be matched dollar for dollar up to $6,000! Matching funds have been provided by AMD Distribution, Essig Agency, First State Bank Minnesota, Home Federal Savings Bank, Marzolf Implement, Seabright Electric, and SEMA. In addition, Sunshine Foods will donate $10 to the food shelf for every $100 in gifts. The fundraiser will be held rain or shine and is sponsored by Bolton & Menk. The first 40 cars will receive an individually wrapped, sweet treat from Wykoff Coffee Co.

Supporting your community during these challenging times is more important than ever. By taking advantage of the matching funds associated with this event, your gift will go even further. Simply Drive-thru and make a difference!

Those unable to attend the Drive-thru are encouraged to drop off or mail in their gifts to City Hall at 201 South Broadway, Spring Valley, Minn. 55975 or make their gift online at www.svareafoundation.org.

Due to COVID-19, there will not be a 2020 or 2021 Annual Banquet; however, stay tuned for a special activity in 2021.

The Spring Valley Area Community Foundation (SVACF) strives to build a dynamic community by encouraging generosity, promoting civic engagement and providing the opportunity to enhance the quality of life by creating community partnerships in the Spring Valley, Ostrander, and Wykoff communities.
