Athiests or evolutionists who flat out reject God and Creation is one thing, God have mercy on them and open their blind eyes, but what is worse yet is that there are now many “professing Christians” who are trying to mingle evolution with creation.
Evolution is the Devil’s work, it’s no different than when he said to Eve, “hath God said?” The late, great, Dr. Adrian Rodgers said, “The Devil doesn’t want to persecute the Church, he wants to join it.”
If you take a hard stand against evolution you will be rebuked by “professing Christians” for it. They say, “Just because I’m a Christian doesn’t mean I have to reject science.” What they mean is, “I can believe in evolution and in God.” Yes, the demons also believe in the one God and tremble. (James 2:19) I believe that they use the term “don’t have to reject science” rather than “I can believe in God and in evolution” because the latter is just a little too obvious that they really don’t believe in the “Sovereign” Creator God that the Bible testifies of. In Isaiah 43:10 God says of His sovereignty, “Before me there was no God formed neither shall there be after me.” You can’t fool God with a little twist of words? 1 Samuel 16:7 says: “For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” I have to ask myself the question too, am I trying to hide something from God? Psalm 139 testifies of God knowing our inner most being. Also, you can’t believe in evolution and God because evolution is the Devil trying to sabotage God’s work and you can’t serve God and the Devil. You serve God or the Devil.
This mixing of truth and error causes baby (new) Christians to stumble in their walk with Christ. Jesus said, “Who so shall offend (cause to stumble) one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. (Matthew 18:6) What a sobering and stinging statement that is!
If you are one who is standing up for Christ and His infallible word and are experiencing push back and hostility from people all around you, even professing Christians; take courage brother, take courage sister, “Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven.” (Matthew 5;12) And also Brethren, thank God that we have His Word for a firm and steadfast foundation so that we don’t have to be blown about by the wind of every strange doctrine that comes along. His word is able to stand entirely on its own from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21.
If you are one of those who are mingling evolution with creation, you are doing the Devil’s work and I would be doing you, and God, a disservice to tell you otherwise. I don’t know if you never were a real Christian or if you are a backsliden Christian. Either way God is inviting you back to Himself. “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.” Acts 16:11 says, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.” Believing on Jesus means agreeing with Him that you are a sinner, repenting of your sin, trusting in His blood atonement on the cross as payment for your sins, and receiving His forgiveness by faith. He “was delivered for our offenses and was raised again for our justification.” (Romans 4;25) But it will be like in the days of Noah. Noah’s ark is a type of Christ and just like Noah’s ark, people had opportunity to come into the ark but they refused until the door was shut and it was too late. Friend, the door is open right now. “Today is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Don’t wait for a convenient time, because that time will never come.

It’s extremely disheartening to see this. While I am an atheist and nothing in this offended me, it saddens me that science is so offensive to those who are Christians or of any religious background. Do you use technology through cellphones, computers, and other electronic devices? Do you visit your doctor when you are sick, need surgery, or welcome a new baby into the world? Do you know that when you jump you will come back down to the ground? These are all science. How is it that evolution is so offensive? I’m baffled by it. Nothing in the article is compelling or groundbreaking in that you didn’t provide any peer-reviewed literature to back-up your claims. The bible is not a credible source in scholastic achievement. Nothing has gone through the scientific method and been proven with little doubt and replicated.
To think so little of people that align with modern society and accept science as a truth (it’s not ‘believing’ because it happens regardless) seems to be the opposite of what you say your god wants. Kind hearts are what this world needs and this seems to be condemning anyone who doesn’t live your lifestyle. I’m walking proof that religion does not bring you morality.

Why would I reject the gospel by rejectiong evolution?
Jesus is the creator. Would you not expect to see his character manifested in his creation?
“I am the Lord thy God. I change not” Creation by definition changes things. The only way God can be a creator and not change is to be continuously creating. Which means everything else is always changing too.
Evolution is the gospel of Jesus manifesting his character in the fabric of the entire Universe.
Evolution =The survival of the “fittest” = the survival of the most “Christ like”. Isn’t that what we see all around us?
The Gospel in bullet point:
Everything perfect in Eden.
New element, fear, enters environment and is disruptive to the perfect order. (sin)
Jesus the creator/savior enters creaton and creates a new, even better creation.
Instead of a face to face walk in the garden, man becomes a partaker of the divine nature by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Man gains wisdom, and understanding of the difference between right and wrong.
We learn aspects of God’s charcter that could never be understood in a perfect environment. Such as forgiveness, patience, compassion, courage, generosity, et. Andin the end the heavens and the earth are created new. Such that in the end mankind is in a better condition that at the beginning
So it is with evolution in the physical realm. Organisms adapted for current environment (Eden).
The environment changes introducing disruption. (sin)
God the creator/savior creates improved organisms to be perfect in the new environment. (Salvation/new birth)
Evolution is the gospel embodied in the function of the universe over and over for eternity. Exactly what one would expect if Jesus were the creator who is eternally creating.

So you think man is basically good in the natural state? God created the universe once. And it was perfect; The Garden of Eden. Sin entered into the world and because of sin the whole creation is deteriorating until now. Romans 8;22. Man is not basically good, “as it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one; there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” Romans 3; 10-11-12 . “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3;23. “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Romans 6;23. Evolution is not the gospel. Jesus Christ is. That’s why He died on the cross (you seem pretty familiar with scripture but you forgot to mention the cross anywhere) for your sin and my sin. That’s the gospel (good news). The bad news is that we’re sinners but that’s what makes the good news good. If there was no bad news there could be no good news.

Damn.

One of your followers is running amok. Perhaps some mild smiting is in order.

Hi, Aaron—the Devil here. You made a couple of rather snarky comments to which I just had to apply, as they were about me.
You quoted someone, with approval, who said I didn’t want to persecute the church, I wanted to JOIN it? I don’t know who that dork was, but believe me, the day I stopped serving in heaven and ruling in hell was the first day of the rest of my life, and it’s been a rush.
You also made the jarring claim that I “believe in the one true God” and I “tremble” before him. I can assure you that the deity to which I assume you are referring reminds me of nothing so much as a certain fat, loutish U.S. president who is a thorough laughingstock down here. Strictly fourth rate, even by divine standards.
I wasn’t sure what to do with my freedom at first, but I decided to try and help your poor benighted species out by nudging science and other constructive arts along. You were right about evolution being a special project of mine, because homo sapiens is entitled to understand his roots. But that’s a long subject for another time.
Deacon, you can go on believing in this bizarre theo-phantasmagoria of yours, but I truly hope you aren’t taking others of your drooling species along with you. You guys have enough problems as it is. My advice: Chill out; grow a brain; grow a pair. Hope we can chat from time to time.
Good luck in any case—Luce

You can insult your way down into Hell but you won’t be able to smooth talk your way out. There are no atheists down there because they all realized they made a horrible mistake and now believe God, but it’s too late now. The only reason that your insults hurt so much is because I know that you have no idea what your saying and I only hope you don’t die before you see the light and come to Christ. The Church is not about following rules or being good enough. In fact, you first have to confess that you’re bad before you can join the real Church. The Church is made up of sinners who realized they’re hellbound sinners and decided to do something about it. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved Acts 16;31.

I think this letter represents an improvement over the author’s previous work. This time he had the good sense to restrict himself to religious raving and avoid actually talking about evolution per se. The is a good strategy, since lots of us actually care when someone ignorant of science says ridiculous things about it. Ridiculously simplistic theology, on the other hand, who cares?
Paul S says
Another small town preacher who until the advent of the internet and social media actually thought his opinion mattered because he indoctrinated the minds of a population of 140 people. It must be difficult to realize that the rest of the first world has discarded your primitive myths and superstitions.
If you ever decide to join the 21st century and learn some science we’ll be happy to have you. The world has serious problems to solve and we need intelligent educated people to solve them,
Aaron Swartzentruber says
My opinion doesn’t matter. Gods’ opinion matters. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. You don’t think 140 people matter? Why do you matter, you’re only 1 person?

When you can illustrate clearly that you understand what biological evolution is, I feel it would be great to have this discussion. Until then, it’s difficult to speak with a person who has previously shown they don’t know what they’re talking about. And if you’re unwilling to learn about the topic of which you speak, then it’s hard to take you seriously.
As I said, “Let the *land* produce the animals” and “Let the *land* produce the vegetation” is language from Genesis 1:11 and Genesis 1:24 providing an explanation for how evolution was incorporated in God’s Word.
Perhaps you should learn more about the Creation in order to understand the Creator. But that is a suggestion you can certainly ignore.

Genesis 1;24 And God said, let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind; and it was so. Genesis 1;25 And GOD MADE the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind; and God saw that it was good. You have to read these verses together. Why would God make the “beast of the earth”, the “cattle”, and the “thing that creepeth” (creeping thing) in verse 25 if they were already produced by the earth, or land, as you claim that it says in verse 24. And please notice that it specifically says in both verses, cattle, beast of the earth, and creeping thing. Creeping thing in verse 24 is the same thing as “thing that creepeth” in verse 25. You seem like an intelligent person, I’m sure you can see the connection. verse 24 is God saying something and “it was so”. Verse 25 is explaining how God did it. God made, earth did not make. In verse 24 where it says “Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind” it means the living creature would reproduce after his own kind after he was created. How could the living creature be brought forth after his own kind if there was no “kind” to be brought forth from?
Thomas E. H. says
//Genesis 1;24 And God said, let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind; and it was so. Genesis 1;25 And GOD MADE the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind; and God saw that it was good.//
That’s right….
//In verse 24 where it says “Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind” it means the living creature would reproduce after his own kind after he was created.//
Yes… That’s what I’m saying. Evolution.
//How could the living creature be brought forth after his own kind if there was no “kind” to be brought forth from?//
You still seem confused about what the theory of evolution answers and what it does not answer. The theory of evolution has no say on the origin of life, but rather the diversity of life… as in, what happens to life after it had become life.
So, not really seeing the problem here other than you continued misunderstanding about what the theory of evolution states.
If you have something against abiogenesis, then you can try to use this argument. But this does not in any way address the inclination that reproduction after their own kind reflects what evolution is.
So… thank you?
