It’s that time of year again. It’s time to start pulling out your favorite holiday family recipes for gatherings.
In 2010, the Fillmore County Journal started publishing the first-ever “Tasty Temptations Cookbook,” full of recipes from the best cooks of Bluff Country throughout our coverage area.
This year, 2024, marks our 15th annual cookbook, and we’re excited to share all of the great recipes with our readers.
Every year, we’ve been very blessed to partner with Harmony Foods, Preston Foods, and Rushford Foods to give away gift cards to winners of the annual recipe tradition.
For this year’s contest, all you have to do is submit your favorite recipes per category: appetizers, side dishes, main dishes and desserts. We have a limit of one recipe entry per category per individual. There will be a drawing for $100 given away to one lucky winner from each of the four categories for a grand total giveaway of $400 – just in time for the holidays!
The deadline is October 25, 2024. Readers can mail recipes to our Preston office at Fillmore County Journal, P.O. Box 496, Preston, Minn. 55965, or submit it online at https://fillmorecountyjournal.com/tasty-temptations/. Readers can look forward to this year’s cookbook appearing in the nearly 19,000 copies of the Monday, November 18 issue. There will be a mix of recipes and advertisements from local businesses promoting local holiday shopping.
