Spring Grove City Council approves sewer and water rate increases

The Spring Grove City Council approved a 25% increase in water rates and a 15% increase in sewer rates, effective October 1, 2021, at its August 17 meeting. The monthly sewer rate for all property classes 0-1,000 gallons will increase $1.57 per month. Houston County employees are not required to wear a mask

The Houston County Commission held an emergency meeting on Friday, August 6, 2021, at 9 a.m. to discuss a recommendation by John Pugleasa, Houston County Public Health, and Tess Kruger, Houston County personnel director. Houston County full-time essential workers to receive $50 thank you

Houston County Commissioners approved thanking full-time County essential workers with a $50 payment in place of a County Staff Appreciation Day picnic. The estimated $8,000 for 160 employees will come from last year’s CARES fund.
