Are you ready to show-off your cooking skills and share some great recipes with more than 57,000 readers of this newspaper?
You’re in luck! For the 14th annual Tasty Temptations Cookbook, the event will be held at Rushford Foods in Rushford, Minn., on October 14.
The judges will begin taste testing at 11 a.m. with plans to conclude the contest by noon that day.
We have changed up the contest quite a bit this year. There used to be nine different categories, and we have narrowed it down to four categories: Appetizer, Side Dish, Main Dish, and Dessert.
With the generous support of Rushford Foods, the prizes have increased per category. Winners will receive gift cards to use at Harmony Foods, Preston Foods or Rushford Foods. Per category, first place will receive a $100 gift card, second place will receive a $50 gift card, and third place will receive a $25 gift card. The total amount paid out with gift cards will be $700.
In addition, this year, we’ve added drawing prizes that enhance your cooking experience. There are 20 prizes totaling more than $345 in value, ranging from kitchen utensils to an air fryer.
The total value of gift cards and prizes provided to participants for this year’s cooking contest will be more than $1,000. All winners will be recognized in the cookbook with their winning recipes.
