Robert (Bob) George Wherley, 92, of Preston, Minn., died on October 6, 2026.
Bob was born on November 16, 1933, in Belle Plaine, Minn. He was one of eight children born to James and Albertina Wherley.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Marjorie, and daughters Kathleen and Sandra. He is survived by his daughters Nancy Gardner (David), Dianne Wherley, son James Wherley (Kristin), Steve Clemons and Keith Hamm, as well as his brother Ron and sisters Sheila and Johanna. He also leaves six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation at 10 a.m. at Saint Columban Catholic Church in Preston, Minn. on Friday, October 23, Mass at 11 a.m. and a light lunch at noon. Memorial service at the Veterans Cemetery in Preston at 2 p.m. where his ashes will be laid to rest.
