Jill Marie Phillips obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Jill Marie Phillips, 49, of St. Charles, passed away on September 7, 2026, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Jill was born on October 12, 1976, in Lake City, Minnesota, to Gerald and Linda (Gilsdorf) Wolf.

On October 3, 2009, she married William “Bill” Phillips, and they have since been happily married for 17 years. They started their lives together in Rochester then moved to St. Charles where they continued to live with their two children, Brianna and Christian. Jill loved shopping, going on road trips with Bill, especially traveling to Nelson, Wisconsin, for cheese curds. She loved her animals, watching her TV shows, and spending time with her family and friends. Jill was known for having long conversations and taking the “Minnesota Goodbye” to the next level.

Jill was very comfortable in the kitchen and spent a lot of time canning, cooking, and making beef jerky with Bill. She was avid of the outdoors, gardening, and grew to love gnomes, because Bill kept buying them. She loved her fuzz ball rolling and LOVED her clients.

Jill will always be missed and loved, but the one thing people will always remember her by was her gift to gab.

She is survived by her loving husband William “Bill” Phillips, her two children, Brianna (Vincent) Storing, and their son River Storing of Devils Lake, North Dakota, and Christian Phillips of Wells, Minnesota; siblings Dale (Val) Wolf of Plainview, John (Nancy) Wolf of Lake City, Deb (Kyle) Karger of St. Charles, Lori (Lennie) Holst of Plainview, Barb (Bruce) Siem of Plainview, Dan (Angie) Wolf of Bowlus, and Dave (Jenny) Wolf of Theilman; father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Susan Phillips of Granger, Minnesota; brothers- in-law Michael (Emily) Phillips of West Salem, Wisconsin, and Chad (Jill) Phillips of Lanesboro, Minnesota; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Jill was preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Linda (Gilsdorf) Wolf, brother Mike Wolf, niece April Wolf, and brother-in-law Barry Meuer.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to St. Marys Hospital and the dedicated doctors and nurses on Mary Brigh 7G for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers monetary memorials to honor Jill’s legacy.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles, Minnesota, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A prayer service will begin at 3:30 p.m. led by Pastor Larry Sipe. A celebration of life will continue at The Moose Lodge in St. Charles from 4 p.m. to close.

Hoff Funeral Home – St. Charles is assisting the family with arrangements.
