The team at the Fillmore County Journal has been working diligently on two publications that will debut in January 2027.
Both publications will be titled “The Answer Book” — one for Fillmore County and one for Houston County.
Both the Fillmore County Answer Book and Houston County Answer Book will have a total of 12,000 copies printed for each for a total of 24,000 copies. Each county publication will be distributed in the newspaper in each respective county in addition to copies made available to local chamber of commerce organizations, city hall, school districts and county government.
The purpose of this publication will be to provide a community resource guide for long-time residents as well as newcomers to the area. This project wouldn’t be possible without the collaboration of our FCJ team and the community leaders representing each city, school district and county government.
Over the past several years, our team has observed other newspapers launching similar publications, and we felt this was the right time. We have modeled our publications after what Waverly Newspapers created years ago for Bremer County, Iowa.
