New lifesaving equipment was presented to the Wykoff First Responders and Ostrander First Responders, made possible through Fillmore County Opioid Settlement funding. This investment reflects Fillmore County’s commitment to strengthening emergency response capabilities and ensuring that rural first responders have the tools they need to provide timely, high-quality care when every second counts.
The opioid crisis continues to impact communities of all sizes, and these funds are being used to improve outcomes for those experiencing overdose and other medical emergencies. By equipping local responders with updated resources, we are enhancing their ability to save lives, support families in crisis, and serve their communities with confidence and compassion.
We are grateful to Fillmore County Board of Commissioners and Fillmore County Public Health for its partnership and to the dedicated volunteers of Wykoff and Ostrander who stand ready to answer the call, day and night, for their neighbors in need.
