Seven teams including LFCMC, R-P/H, and Chatfield took on the St. Charles track and field meet. LFCMC’s girls (152.5) notably took first ahead of the Saints (151), R-P/H (133.5), Lewiston-Altura (94), Chatfield (73), Waseca (61), and Hayfield (17). For Lori Anderson’s group, all four relays finished top two. The 4×400 (4:19.75 > Olivia Rindels, Lillyan Kiehne, Autumn Rakosnik, Hannah Vaalemoen) and 4×800 (10:30.07 > Madi Zwart, Stella Charlebois, Grace Kingsley, Rakosnik) took first. The 4×100 (Fiona Horihan, Isabelle Peterson, Ava Larson, Charlotte Ferrie) and 4×200 (Horihan, Aubrey Daniels, Ferrie, Rakosnik) took second. Individually, Ferrie took first (100 > 13.70) and second (Long Jump). Elizabeth Clarke (Pole Vault > 8’6”) also took first. Taking second were Vaalemoen (200), Rindels (400), Kyla Hellickson (High Jump), and Larson (Triple Jump). Kiehne (1,600), G-Kingsley (3,200) and Rakosnik (P-Vault – tie) added third places. Freshman Ferrie thus took first (100) and second thrice (L-Jump, 4×100, 4×200). Rakosnik took first twice (4×400, 4×800), second (4×200), and third (P-Vault). For R-P/H’s girls, Aubry Boldt again was a triple-event winner for a fifth time this year, taking the 100-hurdles (15.92), Long Jump (16’7), and Triple Jump (35’3”). Jorja Meyer had two first places (Shot Put > 36’1”; Discus 114’10”). Caitlin Bauer took first 1,600 (5:19.30) and third (800). Emily Helgemoe (800 > 2:21.83) and Emilee Peterson (High Jump > 4’8”) also took first. Abby Prinsen (Discus) took second. For Chatfield girls, the 4×100 (52.97 > Adeline Schild, Lillie Stejskal, Addison Johnsrud, Savannah Peterson) took first. Peterson also tied for second (100) and took third (L-Jump). The 4×400 (Schild, Adelia Goldsmith, Lexi Kivimagi, Stejskal) took second. On the guys’ side, defending 1A true team champions St. Charles (210.5) topped Waseca (143.5), R-P/H (125), LFCMC (83.5), Chatfield (77.5), L-A (19), and Hayfield (9). For R-P/H, Landon Dahl (400 > 52.79), Isaac Rasmussen (3,200 > 9:45.37), and Chace Drazkowski (Discus > 148’5”) took first. Rasmussen broke the 3,200-meter program record, surpassing Tyler Rislov (9:47.56) from 2022. Aaron Ploetz and Brennan Kunst took second third in the 800, then swapped placings for the 1,600 (each behind SC’s Ivan Daood). Hunter Rislov took second (200) and third (100). Four R-P/H guys notably finished top six in the Shot, Drazkowski (second), Jero Kuss (third – tie), Lucas Redalen (fifth), and Logan Kinstler (sixth). For Chatfield, the 4×400 (3:35.48 > Maddex Lanning, Ezra Schild, Kash McBroom, Lane Schmaltz) took first. Ross Stoehr took second (High Jump), third (110-hurdles), and fourth (300-hurdles). He hit 6’0” in the High Jump. Schmaltz (Pole Vault) added a third place (tie). For LFCMC, Brody Niemeyer took first (Shot Put > 49’0 ½”) and third (Discus). Parker Krage (Pole Vault), Grant Daniels (T-Jump) and the 4×100 (Cody Serfling, Bridon Bahl, Davis Penhollow, Adrian Rindels) took second. Rindels added two fourth places (L-Jump, T-Jump).
