David Drown & Associates:
• Board approved Resolution 2023-014: Providing for the Competitive Negotiated Sale of $6,390,000.00 General Obligation County Jail Bonds, Series 2023A
SEMCAC/Bluff County HRA:
• Board approved $20,000.00 in applying for the MN Housing Program Grant contingent on the program be-ing funded
Feedlot:
• Board approved the 2022 Feedlot Officer (CFO) Annual Report
Human Resources:
• Board approved the MOU between Fillmore County and Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc, Local #85 to establish a full-time Courthouse Security Deputy position effective May 12th, 2023, as recommended by the Sheriff and Personnel Committee
• Board approved to promote Tyler Spande, part-time Courthouse Security, to full-time Courthouse Security Deputy; at LELS pay scale Grade 9/Step 2 at $26.27 hourly, effective May 12th, 2023 as recommended by the Sheriff and Personnel Committee
• Board approved the resignation of Michael Hadland, Sheriff’s Deputy, effective June 7th, 2023, with thanks after nearly 23 years of service
• Board approved advertising for a replacement Sheriff’s Deputy as requested by the Sheriff and Personnel Committee
• Board approved increasing the Grade/Step for Kathryn Hamann, Public Health RN; from Grade 12/Step 3 at $31.48 to Grade 13/Step 1 at $32.77, after obtaining a certificate from the Minnesota Board of Nursing for Public Health Licensure, as recommended by the Director of Nursing
Administrator:
• Board approved the 2022 fund balance summary report
• Board approved the 2024 budget schedule and the hearing for the Truth in Taxation which will be on Dec. 12, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. in the Boardroom at the Fillmore County Courthouse
• Board approved a membership of $25.00 for 2023 (SMART) Southeastern Minnesota Association Regional Trails and Larry Hindt as the representative
• Board approved to appoint Richard Junge, Bristol Township to fill a vacancy on the Board of Planning and Zoning Commission as recommended by the Fillmore County Unit of Townships
• Board and Director of Nursing agreed to reschedule or cancel the Joint Board of Health meeting that going to be on May 23, 2023, due to the Public Hearing that will be held that day
