NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County Board of Fillmore County, Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at approximately 9:00 a.m., at the Boardroom in the Fillmore County Courthouse, located at 101 Fillmore Street East, in the City of Preston, Minnesota, relating to the use of property tax abatement for public improvement costs associated with a new housing development (10 single family lots) to be developed by Richard & Cheryl Lamon, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.1812 to 469.1815, inclusive, as amended. The County hereby authorizes a Tax Abatement for a period of 15 years commencing with taxes payable 2026.
The Tax Abatement is limited to 75% of the new County taxes generated by increased value due to the development on platted property only. The amount of total Tax Abatement will not exceed $154,000. The following tax parcels are to be included in the proposed tax abatement:

Copies of the Abatement Resolution as proposed to be adopted will be on file and available for public inspection at the office of the County Administrator.
All interested persons may appear at the hearings and present their view orally or in writing.
