Members Present:  Mayor Benson, Council members O’Donnell, Linder, Ryman, Linder Staff Present:  Administrator Chladek, Clerk/Treas. Zacher.  

Consent Agenda and notices:  verified claims and fund summary report, first quarter lodging tax report; AcenTek notice of channel addition; AcenTek PBS Channel 2 buffering issues – people should call in with problems; Hwy 30 Construction Newsletter #1, reminder of Hwy 30 public information meeting. 

Mat Wagner, Mead & Hunt update on airport 5 unit t-hangar project; federal grant funding being awarded along with 2-year reprieve on the based airport requirement.  Federal funding includes more requirements for construction and for engineering review and reporting.  Bid for 5-unit hangar awarded to Olympic builders total $992,985 with site work starting in fall and construction in spring of 2023.  Task Order approved for engineering services amended to include extra federal requirements.

Librarian Beth Nelson and Board Chair Burt Svendsen presented annual 2021 Library report; many uses and services and programs have increased substantially since the COVID restrictions have relaxed.  

Authorized hiring of fully-licensed officer Joshua DeBoer as a part-time officer on as needed basis.

Approved Shawnee’s Bar & Grill application for Sunday On-Sale Liquor License.

Approved Resolution authorizing 2 AM Optional Liquor License for Nordic Lanes.

Approved Resolution for Exemption from Lawful Gambling for Knights of Columbus #16456 for St. Joseph’s fund raising activities in July.

Approve Resolution acknowledging donation from Ace Telephone Casual Day and AcenTek Assoc. total of $600.00 for Rushford Public Library.

Chamber to conduct spring clean-up of properties by scouts and volunteers in Rushford, Peterson and CRV.  Chamber coordinating Career Day for juniors and seniors with various businesses in the area.
