Bruce David Heyda, 55, of Montgomery, died on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at his home. Visitation was held on Friday, November 5, from 4-7p.m., at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial took place on Saturday, November 6, at 11 a.m., with Father Tom Niehaus officiating, and visitation one hour prior at Most Holy Redeemer Church.

Interment will be held at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery. Military honors will be provided by the Montgomery Area Veterans Honor Guard.

Bruce was born on July 12, 1966, in Albert Lea to Roger and Mary Ann (Duban) Heyda. He was a graduate of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic School and Montgomery-Lonsdale High School. Bruce was united in marriage to Paula Cramer on September 5, 1998, in Faribault.

Bruce served in the U.S. Army for two years and then attended Dunwoody Institute for Tool and Die, the University of MN-Waseca where he received an Associate Science Degree in Dairy Science, and the Minnesota State Apprenticeship program to become a Maintenance Electrician. In 2002, Bruce became a Class A Master Electrician.

He worked at various places through the years, including United Steel, Conagra Foods, MSP Airport, Genova, AJ Moore Electric, and for Rahn Home Service – Mr. Sparky Division, where he was very happy.

Bruce was also an active volunteer at Most Holy Redeemer Church. He enjoyed cooking, smoking meat, camping, campfires, Canadian fishing trips, spending time outdoors, family vacations, listening to music, and playing euchre.

Most of all, Bruce was a proud and caring father to Ben and Jacob, and a loving husband to his wife Paula.

Bruce is survived by his wife Paula Heyda of Montgomery, children Benjamin Heyda and Jacob Heyda of Montgomery, parents Roger and Mary Ann (Duban) Heyda of Montgomery, siblings Christine (Christopher) Rath of Hillsborough, N.
