A Wykoff man faces multiple felony charges for a series of burglaries in Wykoff, Spring Valley, Ostrander and Preston in August and September 2006.

Dominic Michael Stephas, 21, is free after posting $3,000 conditional bond on Monday, December 4, 2006, in Fillmore County District Court. Stephas was charged on Thursday, November 30.

According to the criminal complaint, it is alleged that Stephas burglarized a rural Wykoff home in August while the owners were away. Missing items included jewelry, camera, DVD player, power tools and a 12 gauge shotgun. Some of the items were later pawned in Rochester.

In addition, Stephas is also charged with burglaries at Tooties Little Rock Saloon in Spring Valley, Suzie's Roadhouse in Ostrander and Hanson Tire in Preston.

Stephas was also arrested for burglary in Winona County along with another man who has been implicated in the burglaries in Fillmore County.

Stephas' next court appearance is scheduled for March 12, 2007.
