Felony Charges
Timothy James Newman, 29, of Mabel, was charged in Fillmore County District Court on Monday, April 9, with burglary, a felony.
According to the criminal complaint, it is alleged that on November 23, 2006, Newman entered another persons home in Mabel without their permission. Newman is also charged with violating an order for protection, domestic assault and assault in the fifth degree.
Judge Robert Benson released Newman on his own recognizance pending his next court appearance on April 30, 2007.
Tiffany Lee Sinclair, 19, of Stewartville, was charged in District Court on April 9, with felony theft by check.
According to court documents, it is alleged that Sinclair cashed several checks in Spring Valley totalling more than $900 knowing that she had insufficient funds. Sinclair is also charged with issuance of dishonored checks.
Sinclair remains in the Fillmore County Jail, with conditional bail set at $2000. Her next court appearance is scheduled for April 16, 2007.
Jill Ann Shederheln, 34, of LeRoy, was charged in District Court on April 10, with fleeing a police officer, a felony.
According to court records, it is alleged that Shederheln fled the scene after being approached by a police officer about a traffic violation in Spring Valley on December 7, 2006. In addition, Shederheln is charged with obstructing the legal process, no Minnesota drivers license, driving after suspension, and driving the wrong way on a one way street, all misdemeanors.
Judge Robert Benson released Shederheln on her own recognizance pending her next court appearance on April 16.
Felony Sentencing
Brian Thomas Dahle, 29, of Houston, was sentenced to 21 months in prison after pleading guilty to the burglary of a rural Mabel business in October 25, 2005. Dahle was charged with related crimes in Houston county.
Dahle waived his right to probation and asked the court to execute sentencing. The defendant was represented by Fred Suhler, Jr.
