Felony Charges
Donna Marie Brown, 48, of Preston, was charged in Fillmore County District Court on Monday, May 29, with assault with a dangerous weapon following a domestic disturbance in Preston on May 25. In addition to the felony charge, Brown is also charged with assault and domestic assault, both misdemeanors.
According to the criminal complaint, it is alleged that Brown and her partner had a disagreement on the night of May 25, at which time the defendant assaulted the man with a knife. He was reported to have a three inch cut on his back as well as a cut on one finger.
Judge Robert Benson set conditional bail at $10,000. The defendant is presently being held at the Fillmore County Jail. Her next court appearance is scheduled for June 4.
Tracy Jerome Serfoss, 40, of Preston, was charged in District Court on felony burglary charges. In addition, the defendant is also charged with misdemeanor theft and burglary.
According to court records, on July 16, 2005, Serfoss allegedly took paintings and other possessions from a rural Lanesboro home.
The defendant had been held by law enforcement in other jurisdictions before appearing in court on May 29, 2007.
Judge Benson set conditional bail at $2000. Serfoss is being held at the Fillmore County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 11.
