Felony Charges
• Scott Joseph Laganiere, 47, of Lanesboro, made his first appearance in Fillmore County District Court on Monday, August 6, on two felony charges related to an incident in Lanesboro on October 24, 2006.
According to court documents, it is alleged that Laganiere became abusive after consuming alcohol and threatened to kill his roommate. When police were called to the scene, Laganiere failed to cooperate with authorities. He was later taken to Detox in Rochester.
Laganiere is charged with making terroristic threats and assaulting a police officer, both felonies. He is also charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault as well as obstructing justice.
Judge Robert Benson released Laganiere on his own recognizance pending his next court appearance on Monday, August 13, 2007.
