Junk Ordinance Follow-up

In a follow up to the violations of the junk ordinance, Deputy Kevin Beck showed pictures he had taken of two properties that appeared to have violated the ordinance. According to Beck, Jeremy Larson of North Anson Avenue has received two or three warnings to clean up his property and has not completed the necessary process. The council voted to instruct City Administrator Deb Zimmer to arrange for a cleanup crew to go into the property and clean it up with the costs to be assessed back to the property owner.

The second property was that owned by Michael Shaw on Park St. Beck said that attempts have been made to clean it up and that many of the vehicles will be taken to an auction in Dexter. Shaw said that he will continue to work on cleaning up the lot in preparation for a move to LeRoy. The Council decided to review the progress at the October 8 meeting.

Other Business

City Administrator Deb Zimmer said that progress on the sewer main project has been delayed by wet weather and that hopefully a few days of drying will bring the project timetable back in-line.
