On August 20, the Dreamery Rural Arts Initiative on DreamAcres Farm invites all to join in Onion Fest, an event that celebrates the multiple layers to our American identities using a multi-layered vegetable as a symbol. Onion-based dishes are served out of the farm kitchen from 5-7pm. During this time, the Brass Messengers of Minneapolis will play brass music from all over the world with a lively, playful approach. There will be an open mic from 7-8pm. At 8pm, Accidental Hero, by Patrick Dewayne, the Play! in the Barn Series' final performance, will begin. Accidental Hero is Dewayne's educational and entertaining account of his Czech grandfather's involvement in WWI.

The Brass Messengers' portion of the fest is free and open to the public. Tickets for Accidental Hero are $12 and may be reserved ahead of time by calling DreamAcres or purchased directly at the farm. All tickets for food are sold at the farm as well.

The Dreamery Rural Arts Initiative is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting and expanding arts experiences in rural Fillmore County, and to making use of renewable/sustainable energy sources to do so. Donations are always welcome. For more information, including directions to the farm, or to make reservations, call 507-352-4255, or visit websites at www.dreamacresfarm.org. or www.dreameryruralartsinitiative.org.
