The Spring Valley City Council met in special session on Friday afternoon. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the recent negotiations the City has had with property owners at the Industrial Park.

Within the last week Larry Kappers has approached the City to inquire about purchasing land near the proposed extension of SATA drive to Tracey Road to the South. He has approximately 76,000 square feet and the City will be acquiring this land to extend the street on additional land to sell as an industrial lot. In exchange Kappers will be receiving Lot 6 and Lot 4 of the Industrial Park Expansion which together contain approximately 76,000 square feet. Kappers will also be purchasing Lot 5 for $1.85 per square foot.

The Council also approved a purchase price of $5,200 per acre plus assessments if an option on lot 3, 4, 5, or 6 was agreed to instead of purchasing right now.

During the Special Meeting Aaron Kolling requested an option on Lot 3 which was approved and Council gave him until the end of August to purchase the lot at $1.85 per square foot.
