Felony Charges
• Sharly Ann Rollie, 24, of Wykoff, was charged in Fillmore County District Court on Monday, June 26, with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance.
According to court documents, Rollie was stopped in Spring Valley on June 23, 2006 for a driving violation. The officer at the scene took possession a bag allegedly containing a small amount of marijuana and crystal meth.
In addition, Rollie is charged with two gross misdemeanor counts of driving while under the influence. It was also noted that Rollie was driving with her six year old son in the car and that the defendant has a prior license revocation from July 2001.
Judge Robert Benson released Rollie on her own recognizance on the condition that she be law abiding and have no alcohol or drugs. She is scheduled to appear in court on July 10, 2006.
Felony Sentencing
• Travis Carl Fabian, 20 of Winona, was sentenced to 18 months in prison and five years probation, with a stay of execution for 15 years, after pleading guilty to one felony count of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree. All other charges were dismissed.
According to the criminal complaint, on June 8, 2005, Fabian had sexual contact with a female minor in Rushford.
Judge Robert Benson ordered Fabian to serve 180 days in jail, pay a fine of $2,500 and pay the victim $764 in restitution. He must also undergo sexual offenders treatment, have no contact with the victim or her family, register as a sexual offender and have no unsupervised contact with males or females under the age of 18.
