Nathan Randal Gossman, 24, of Canton, MN, was sentenced to three years probation by Judge Robert Benson in Fillmore County District Court on Monday, March 2, 2009, after pleading guilty to one count of receiving stolen property and a second count of fleeing a peace officer. The court dismissed the third count of driving after revocation of driver's license.

According to court documents, on December 13, 2008, Gossman plead guilty to an August 15, 2008 motor vehicle theft of a 1991 S-10 Chevrolet pickup, owned by a Chatfield man. As it applies to restitution, Gossman was also ordered to pay $980.28 to the victim of the stolen vehicle.

Benson stayed imposition of sentencing for three years probation. For both sentences, he also ordered him to serve 180 days in jail, concurrently, with credit for 116 days served, and pay fines and fees totaling $1,087.
