An Iowa man is being held in the Fillmore County Jail on $10,000 conditional bail after being charged with making terroristic threats and domestic violence with strangulation, both felonies.

Dennis Todd Green, 42, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, was charged on Friday, March 27, 2009, in Fillmore County District Court with the two felonies, as well as three other charges - interfering with a 911 call, domestic assault and assault, all gross misdemeanor crimes.

According to the criminal complaint, it is alleged that Green assaulted a Harmony woman in her home on the night of March 25, 2009 during a domestic disturbance, strangling her while she laid on her bed and threatening to kill her. He also prevented her from making a 911 call to law enforcement.

When Green was apprehended, he had .13 blood alcohol level.

Judge James Fabian set bail with conditions at $10,000 and unconditional bail at $20,000. Green is being represented by public defender Fred Suhler, Jr. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 6, 2009.
