St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota State Fair Foundation will host a Minnesota County Fair photography exhibit in the J.V. Bailey House, south of the Space Tower on the fairgrounds. The photography will be displayed the twelve days of the fair. The exhibit features work from Susan Lambert Miller, a nationally recognized photographer who has spent time visiting almost every one of the ninety-five county fairs held throughout Minnesota each summer.
Also new this year is the Minnesota State Fair Moo Booth. The dairy and beef education exhibit, located in the historic Cattle Barn, has undergone an extensive renovation. The State Fair is committed to educating Minnesotans about the food they eat, and the many fields that it comes from.
In partnership with the Minnesota State Historical Society, the foundation is continuing its Share Your Minnesota State Fair Story web site to collect and preserve Minnesota State Fair stories. Sharing personal stories, whether from fairs of long ago or more recently, has the potential to connect fair guests, engage families and preserve the Minnesota State Fair experience for generations to come.
For more details about the Minnesota State Fair Foundation and its activities during the fair, visit www.msffoundation.org, e-mail info@msffoundation.org or call (651) 632-2621.
The Minnesota State Fair Foundation 501(c)(3) preserves and improves the historic Minnesota State Fairgrounds and supports State Fair agricultural, scientific and educational experiences.
