St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota State Fair is now accepting applications for young adults who want to be part of the State Fair Advisory Team.
The 20-member team is a voice for younger Minnesotans that provides input on interests and trends among young adults. Members will be involved in the planning of future State Fair events and activities, while serving as State Fair ambassadors for their peers.
The Advisory Team program will provide young adults with the opportunity to develop valuable leadership skills while learning about the business and operation of the Minnesota State Fair. Serving on the team may fulfill extra curricular requirements, and is a helpful resume builder.
Applicants must be Minnesota residents between 16 and 21 years of age as of Sept. 7, 2009. No previous experience is necessary, and applicants need not have attended fairs in the past.
Applications are available on-line at www.mnstatefair.org and are due Oct. 1, 2009. Click on "Fair Fun" to visit the Advisory Team link. Following a review, potential candidates will be contacted for interviews.
