Passport to Reading at Fillmore Central Elementary

Fri, Nov 13th, 2009
Posted in Education

Family Fun Night is approaching quickly here at Fillmore Central Elementary School. This year's theme is Passport to Reading. Students and their families will have the opportunity to travel to three countries on Tuesday evening, November 17th, 2009. They can explore Spain with Brian Wolfgram, Norway with Ila Olstad or Germany with our foreign exchange student Jacky Wolitzki. Once entering these countries, students will have their passports stamped, hear a story from that country, and experience a bit of the countries' heritage and language.

After all our travels we will have our traditional book swap. This is where students bring in gently used books to swap with other students for more reading pleasure at home.

Our Travel Itinerary is 6:10-6:30 Registration; 6:30 First Country Tour; 6:50 Second Country; 7:15 Book Swap and Refreshments.

Hasta la vista! (See you soon!)
