Karl Randall, motivational speaker from Baxter, Minnesota, will be a guest speaker on November 16th at 1:00 p.m. Mr. Randall's presentation will focus on self-worth concepts, coping with the stress and pressures of school life and the difficult choices facing young adults today.

Mr. Randall speaks from the heart, as an individual who has paid a very high price for making bad decisions. Mr. Randall lost his eyesight at the age of 17 when he was involved in a drug-related automobile accident. He spent a year in the hospital recovering from extensive plastic surgery and rehabilitation for his impairment. During the next year, at home, he became very depressed and tried suicide twice. After realizing that his life did have a purpose and direction, he went on to earn his high school diploma (he had dropped out twice) and take further education at the University of Missouri and the University of Minnesota.

Mr. Randall speaks to all age groups, kindergarten through post-secondary, in the upper Mid-West. He also speaks to parents, teachers, civic groups on the stresses of our youth and the values of good examples we can instill in our children and students.

Mr. Randall has dedicated his life the past forty years to helping the youth of today learn to cope with the pressures of life. He can relate to all age levels since he has, as he states, "been where they're at and been where some of them are heading" He went "along with the crowd" and tried to fit in and be "cool" but to what price!? He still pays for his mistake as a teen, and through this he hopes to help young adults and younger children learn that it is "okay" to be yourself.
