A musically Merry Christmas is in store for all when KFIL-FM 103.1 airs "SONGS OF THE SEASON FAVORITES" on Christmas Day! This special broadcast, featuring highlights recorded during past concerts at the Val-A Lodge, will begin at 5:30 pm, and is sponsored by the Root River State Bank and the First State Bank of Fountain.
The program features Chatfield residents and former residents, recorded in live performance, in nearly three hours of beloved holiday songs and carols. Among the many vocal and instrumental performers who will be heard are: Vern Anderson; Brianne Anshus; Kerryn Brogan; Rita Hughes Buehler; Sheila Burfield; Roy and Teresa Cerling; the Chatfield Brass Band Vocal Quartet (Brad Boice, Dan Hollermann, Curt Peterson, and Chuck Whitcomb); Catherine Dowse; Elisabeth Dowse; Emily Gjellstad; Sherry Hareldson; Donald-Brian Johnson; Mary Catherine Johnson; Pat Johnson; Paul Johnson; Sarah Johnson; Andrew and Kelsey Keech; Carol Kennedy; Kindred Spirits (Lynn Harstad, Valerie McCook, Joan Verdegan, and Lisa Wilhelm); Tori Klomps; Hank Kuhlmann; Mary Hughes Ludwig; Dorothy McConnell; Sarah Paul; Caitlyn, Carly, and Kelsey Roe; Jean Strange; and F. Mike Tuohy. Choral participants include Jackie Baker; Genevieve, Justin, Lindsy, Nate, and Teresa Becker; Bill Brueck; Gloria Budd; Emilie and Valerie Coe; Cathleen, Chuck, Marilyn, Erin, Jaime, and Charles M. Johnson, Sr.; Alex and Maggie Rose Keech; Karen Long; Calvin and Colby Verdegan, and the Youth Choir from the 2003 Western Days pageant, "The Chosen Valley."
