Financial Strategies for a Volatile Dairy Economy is the theme of a program for dairy producers taking place on Thursday, January 21, 11:00am to 2:30pm., at the Lewiston Community Center in Lewiston. This program is sponsored by the University of Minnesota Extension Dairy Team and local county extension offices. Registration and refreshments begin at 10:30 am with the program taking place from 11:00am to 2:30pm.
This program will focus on what producers can do to lessen the financial strain and uncertainty in the dairy business from year to year in order to be sustainable and profitable. Topics will center on dairy industry economic issues, including strategies to evaluate the dairy business, how to make sound financial decisions for the dairy's future, and tools that can be used to better weather the financial extremes we've experienced in recent years.
