Ken Graner Appointed Commercial/Agricultural Loan Officer for Merchants Bank in St. Charles

ST. CHARLES, Minn. - Ken Graner has joined Merchants Bank in St. Charles as Vice President/Agriculture and Commercial Loan Officer.

Ken has been a banker in the area since 1993 and most recently worked with Associated Bank in Lanesboro as an Ag and Commercial banker. He has nearly 30 years of banking experience. He said he's excited to be at Merchants and looks at it as a new opportunity to help people in the area.

"I was looking for a bank that was completely focused on the needs of its customers," Ken said. "I look forward to meeting many new people and helping them to reach their goals."

Ken is knowledgeable about all types of commercial and ag lending. A Kellogg, MN native, he grew up on a dairy farm and still farms himself. He's also a licensed crop insurance agent.

Ken has a long history of being involved in the Lanesboro community, including serving as a past Chair of the Lanesboro EDA and currently serving as a member of the Lanesboro Fire Department.

Merchants Financial Group, Inc. (MFGI), is the corporate entity that owns the St. Charles Bank and 16 other Merchants Bank locations. The "flagship" Merchants Bank in Winona was founded in 1875. All of MFGI's banks are members of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Merchants is an Equal Housing Lender.

The ownership of Merchants Financial Group is made up of its employees and approximately 450 shareholders, mostly individuals and families from southeastern Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin.
