The Chatfield Brass Band is extending an invitation to all instrumentalists to join the band as they begin their practice season in preparation for the summer concert series. The first rehearsal of the new year will be on Thursday, Jan. 21. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the new Chatfield Elementary band room. The band, which just celebrated its 40-year anniversary, is a traditional concert band with woodwinds, brass and percussion. Carmen Narveson, elementary music teacher in Chatfield, is the director, and Curt Peterson is the assistant director.
When you join the Chatfield Brass Band, you will find a group of musicians of all ages and from all walks of life. They come to band because they love music, love to play their instruments, and enjoy playing with a quality group that is fun and active. It is a stress-free environment! The band performances include the summer concert series, area parades and concerts, and a holiday concert in December. New members are welcome to join at anytime. You may call Carmen Narveson at 867-3315 for more information.
