Lanesboro, Minnesota: THE LAB, an independently owned optical lab service provider, was established in July 2009 in this small southeastern Minnesota town (population 788). Built upon friendliness and strong work ethics, THE LAB strives to develop relationships with optical businesses so strong that they will view THE LAB more as indispensible partners than just another vendor.
THE LAB is team-oriented, cross-trained, and customer-focused, working closely with the optical industry to provide the level of quality desired within the existing market. Customers are increasingly demanding perfection, making it more difficult to improve profitability for both eyeglass frame designers and independent optical businesses. THE LAB intends to focus on improving the bottom line for both by manufacturing a product that is perfect the first time, ready for the end user on a timely basis.
THE LAB owners David Klehr and Ross Trotterchaude, Lanesboro residents, have a history of successful entrepreneurship and intend to offer the highest quality products and services. THE LAB's strategy is to continually assist customers in lowering their costs by providing a higher quality product that requires no re-work. THE LAB can function as both a manufacturer and a service provider, repairing its own products and its competitor's products as well.
