John Carlin will be speaking at the Preston Public Library on February 23, 2010, at 7:00 pm about the process of making maple syrup. He and his son, David, have been making maple syrup for the past eight years. They tap more than 50 trees and make about 20 to 25 gallons of syrup each year.
There is still time to sign up for the adult reading program, Hot Reads for Cold Nights, which runs until March 19th. Check out the bulletin board in the front entry for all of our readers' reviews.
