Kwik Trip, Inc. will show its support for veterans by collecting donations for Honor Flight at its stores in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin from February 12 - 25. Money raised will go to the Honor Flight hub that serves the area in which the store is located. The Southeast Minnesota Honor Flight service area includes counties throughout southeast Minnesota and northern Iowa.
Southeast Minnesota Honor Flight exists to fly veterans, at no cost to them, to Washington D.C. to see their memorials. Veterans are selected on a first come, first served basis with priority given to WWII veterans and any veteran with a terminal illness.
People wishing to support Southeast Minnesota Honor Flight can donate at their local Kwik Trip, Kwik Star, Hearty Platter and Tobacco Outlet stores during the fundraising campaign, February 12 - 25, or anytime online at semnhonorflight.org.
Applications for veterans who wish to participate and guardians who wish to volunteer (guardians pay $550 for their flight and the day's activities) are available on the website or at local veteran organizations.
About Southeast Minnesota Honor Flight
