For the past seven years, the youth from Lanesboro have been going on service mission trips. They are a Christian group with youth from five area churches. Some of the past trips have been:
Indian Reservation in South Dakota with clean up and repair;
Downtown Minneapolis with home repair;
Mississippi with flood relief after Hurricane Katrina;
Home repair in rural areas west of the Twin Cities;
Home repair and landscaping in Rushford after their flood; and
Flood relief work in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
In order to take these trips, the group does fund raisers to help with camp fees, building supplies and transportation. This year they have two groups going because of so much interest.
On March 6th, the group is sponsoring Brad Boice, Elvis Tribute Artist at the Commonweal Theater in Lanesboro. Brad puts on a great show and you will not be disappointed. Thank you for your support.
