ST. PAUL, Minn. (March 9, 2010) - Looking for a way to give back to your community, but don't have a lot of time to volunteer? The American Red Cross reminds eligible individuals that in about an hour you can help save a life by donating blood, and the gratification you'll feel when you donate is instant.
"Blood is a perishable product that can only come from generous volunteer blood donors," said Geoff Kaufmann, CEO of the local Red Cross Blood Services region. "By donating blood, you can make a difference in the lives of patients in your community and throughout the nation."
As Americans become increasingly mobile, you can feel good knowing that when you donate blood through the Red Cross you may be helping patients not only in your local community, but also your family and friends across the nation. The more you share, the more you get back. Give blood.

• FILLMORE COUNTY, March 25, 2010 from 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Spring Valley Community Center, 200 S Broadway,Spring Valley.
