Local Red Cross Responds to Fire in Spring Valley

[Rochester, MN, March 15, 2010] - The Southeast Minnesota Chapter of the American Red Cross is responding this morning to a multi-unit apartment fire in Spring Valley. Thirty seven residents have been evacuated from the building and are gathered at the Community Center. The Red Cross is providing meals for those affected and working to determine further needs. All Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of money from the American people. By making a financial donation to the Southeast Minnesota Chapter you will enable the Red Cross to assist in a fire by providing shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need. Contributions may be sent to the Southeast Minnesota Chapter, 310 14th Street SE, Rochester, 55904. Internet users can make a secure online contribution by visiting www.redcross-semn.org.
