The Fillmore County Comprehensive Local Water Management Plan (2006 - 2015) is currently going through its five-year amendment process. The amended plan is due to the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) by December 2010. The main focus of this process is updating the executive summary, implementation plan, and budget sections of the current plan along with summarizing the accomplishments through the first five years. Additional information, including the current plan, proposed amended plan, and a form to submit comments is available on the Fillmore SWCD website at http://www.fillmoreswcd.org/localWater.html. A public hearing regarding the Water Plan Amendment is scheduled in conjunction with the Fillmore County Board of Commissioners meeting on July 13th, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Commissioners' Room of the Fillmore County Courthouse located at 101 Fillmore Street in Preston.
