Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Potential of Hiking and Mountain Biking trails in Minnesota's Bluff Country will be held April 20, 2010, at the Historic Mill in Rushford, MN. The program is from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. and the networking is from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Come learn about another opportunity to improve our local economy, tourism, and options for outdoor activities. Hansi Johnson, a representative from the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA), will speak about tourism statistics, environmentally sustainable development of shared-use trails, and the newly established IMBA/La Crosse Area Ride Center, which extends into Minnesota.

You will also be given a chance to share information about the outdoor recreation amenities of your community. Feel free to bring promotional material.

Who should attend: Community leaders, EDA representatives, tourism or chamber organizations, trail or recreation organizations, outdoor enthusiasts, and interested residents or business owners.

There is no charge to attend but RSVP is appreciated, but not necessary. Contact Christina Peterson at 507-288-6464 or cpeterson@yaggy.com. This is hosted by Yaggy Colby Associates.

Directions: Hwy 43 to Winona Street west (along south edge of Rush Creek)
