Studio Academy Charter High School will present their spring one-act play, The Apple, by Jimmy Brunelle, on Thursday, April 22 and Friday, April 23 in the theatre. The Apple, led by a cast of 14 Studio students, is a crazy satire about the perceptions that people create and project upon art. It explores, in a comedic way, how some people mistakenly think the work of art is responsible for their perceptions, and how sometimes this thinking can culminate in an act of censorship.
The Thursday performance will be a special preview night. The Friday performance will also include selections from the Musical Theatre class. All performances will begin at 7:00 p.m. Free will donation suggested. The one-act play is directed by guest director, Scot A. Schwark. The musical theatre classes are directed by Studio Academy music instructor, Eric Root.
