The Sudden Lovelys

Since their inception in 2010, The Sudden Lovelys (Daniel and Paige Ferraro) have grown as a band and developed their identity as something more than a folk duo. They are storytellers capable of taking their listener on a dynamic journey. There is a timeless quality to their music that shines through in deep and truthful lyrics. With four full length albums and two EPs under their belt, The Sudden Lovelys have recently released their first full length studio album “Brave and Alive.” This album encompasses all of who they are as The Sudden Lovelys. It calls out to the listener and promotes action with its message of love, authenticity and self awareness.

The Sudden Lovelys describe their unique and earnest sound as “aggressive folk.” Daniel writes the music, plays guitar, sings, and kicks a vintage red suitcase like a bass drum. Paige also sings, hits a cymbal with a tambourine, and plays a slew of hand percussion. While performing, their biggest joy is the connection shared with a responsive audience. There is a humble passion and honesty in their music that cannot be denied.

Catalog: Shortly after forming in 2010, The Sudden Lovelys released a six song EP titled “Songs From A Hallway” which was recorded in the hallway of their home in Nordeast Minneapolis. In 2011, after their first nationwide tour, they graduated to a humble home studio in their basement and proceeded to record three full length albums. The albums were released unofficially as Part 1: “Red Rose In A Yellow Army,” Part 2: “Big White Circle,” and Part 3: “Liquid Silver.” In 2012, they released an album for kids and their families titled, “In A Musical World,” as well as a double album of previous recorded material called “Fiasco.” These 30 tracks were completed just before The Sudden Lovelys officially formed in 2010. Fiasco is considered the true beginning of the band. On March 18, 2014 The Sudden Lovelys released their first full length studio album “Brave and Alive.”
