This event will include practical steps residents can take to protect themselves plus hands-on instruction about proper insect repellent selection and application. Speakers will include:

David Neitzel, tick and mosquito disease specialist, Minnesota Department of Health

Jim Stark, Executive Director, Metropolitan Mosquito Control District

Ken Speake, former television reporter and West Nile Virus survivor

Susan Little, Executive Director, DEET Education Program, Washington, D.C.

A portion of 1,500 donated containers of insect repellent products will be given out at the event and officials will announce plans for distribution of the remaining samples.
