If you are a small business owner and have a retail store, you know it is not always easy waiting for people to come to your store and hopefully purchase items. Maybe you don’t have a store, but want to start selling your products online, but don’t know where to start. There are a variety of solutions for you based on your needs, time commitment and budget. An online shopping cart is best if you have many products to sell, want to manage inventory, offer payment gateways, keep a client list and offer tools for fulfilling orders. If you only have a few items to sell, a simple website linked to websites like PayPal may work for you. Other options are to sign up with third party organizations, such as eBay, Amazon, Etsy, etc. These offer their own unique benefits. However, there is an increased cost to sell with them versus having your own website. Either way, these options allow users to shop with you anytime. If you would like to learn more about eCommerce or help deciding what solution would be best for you, contact SMG Web Design.
